Chicken Almondzini
- 3/4 c. mayonnaise
- 1/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. instant minced onion
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 1/4 c. whole milk
- 1/3 c. dry white wine
- 1 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
- 7 oz. spaghetti, cooked and drained
- 2 c. cooked chicken or turkey, chopped (1 qt.)
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
- 1 1/4 c. sliced almonds (6 oz.)
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/4 c. pimiento, chopped (1 small jar drained)
- In saucepan, combine mayonnaise, flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk, cooking over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add cheese and wine slowly until melted.
- Saving 1/3 cup almonds for top, combine sauce with spaghetti, meat, broccoli, almonds, mushrooms and pimiento.
- Place in baking dish (11 x 8 x 2-inch) topped with saved almonds and bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 40 minutes.
- Serves 6.
