Oriental Spaghetti
- 4 oz. thin spaghetti
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. green peppers, chopped
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (7 oz.) bottle 7-Up or lemon lime
- 1/2 c. catsup or chili sauce
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 lb. can mixed chop suey vegetables, drained
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- Cook spaghetti and heat oil in large skillet.
- Add meat, onion, celery and green pepper.
- Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes or until red color is out of meat and vegetables are slightly soft.
- Stir in tomato paste, 7-Up, catsup and thyme.
- Add thyme, mushrooms, vegetables and salt.
- Simmer 10 minutes.
