Spaghetti With Meat Sauce
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained and chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (4 1/2 oz.) can chopped ripe olives, drained
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1 bay leaf (remove leaf before serving)
- 2 lb. spaghetti
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- Cook and drain spaghetti. Stir in butter and 1/2 the cheese. Spoon into serving dish/platter; top with spaghetti sauce and sprinkle with cheese and parsley.
