Treasure Cookies
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 1 pkg. coconut Treasures, coarsely chopped
- 1 (7.5 oz.) jar Macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.
- Beat brown sugar, butter, Crisco, sugar and vanilla until combined.
- Add egg; beat until creamy.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture.
- Gently stir in Treasures and nuts.
- Drop by heaping tablespoon 2-inches apart on a cookie sheet.
- Bake for 9 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on cookie sheets 2 minutes and then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
- Makes 3 1/2 dozen large cookies.
