Pecan Pralines

  1. Sift together the first 3 ingredients.
  2. Cream the butter or margarine and the brown sugar.
  3. Blend in the eggs, vanilla and maple flavoring.
  4. Add dry ingredients gradually; mix well.
  5. If desired, chill for easier handling.
  6. Shape dough into three 8-inch rolls.
  7. Wrap in waxed paper.
  8. Place in freezer for at least 4 hours.
  9. (Can be kept in freezer several months.)
  10. Cut into 1/8-inch slices.
  11. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  12. Press chopped pecans or walnuts into top of each cookie (4 or 5 pieces).
  13. Bake at 350u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
  14. Drizzle scant teaspoon Praline Frosting over each cookie.
  15. Makes about 6 dozen.
