Apple Nut Cake
- 2 c. apple, chopped
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. Crisco or vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. plain flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- canned milk
- coconut
- nuts
- Peel and chop apples.
- Pour 3 tablespoons sugar over apples, let set.
- Sift flour, cinnamon, salt and baking powder; set aside. Mix sugar and oil, beat well.
- Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
- Add orange juice and sifted flour mixture; mix well.
- Add nuts and apples, stir by hand.
- Pour in greased and floured tube pan.
- Bake in oven at 325u0b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
- Ice with canned milk, coconut and nuts.
- Cook for 2 minutes.
