Nan'S Turkey Dressing
- 4 c. raw rice
- 1 (13 x 9 x 2-inch) pan crumbled corn bread
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 bunches green onions, chopped
- 1 bunch celery tops, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. Season All
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. Cajun seasoning or black pepper
- Mix all together; stuff both ends of the bird.
- Bake as directed by manufacturer.
- Remove stock from the pan as the turkey bakes.
- Set aside.
- Will be used for giblet gravy and to moisten uncooked dressing.
- When the turkey is almost done, pack the rest of the dressing around the bird.
- Moisten with 2 to 3 cups of the stock.
- Bake until all is cooked.
- When everything is cooked, remove all of the dressing from around and inside the turkey.
