Pizza Loaf
- 1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
- 1 lb. ground pork or hamburger
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. leaf oregano, crumbled
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 lb. (1 c.) Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3/4 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Let loaf of thawed bread dough rise following label directions.
- Prepare filling and cook pork or hamburger with mushrooms (if using), onions, salt and pepper in a large skillet until no pink remains; drain off excess
- fat.
- Stir in tomato sauce, paprika, oregano and garlic salt.
- Bring to boiling; lower heat and cover.
- Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally; cool.
- Punch dough down and roll out on floured surface to 15 x 12-inch rectangle.
