Chicken Cheese Swirls
- 1/3 c. chopped green peppers
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. Bisquick
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. cooked chicken, cut up
- 1 c. frozen peas
- 2 c. Bisquick
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 3/4 c. shredded American cheese
- Cook green peppers and onions in shortening until tender.
- Add 1/4 cup Bisquick, soup and milk.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Add chicken and peas.
- Pour into 7 x 12-inch baking dish.
- Mix 2 cups Bisquick and water until dough forms.
- Knead and roll into 15 x 9-inch rectangle.
- Sprinkle with cheese and roll up tightly.
- Cut into 12 (1 1/4-inch) slices and arrange on top of chicken mixture.
- Bake at 425u0b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
