Pork Stir-Fry

  1. Cut pork into 1/4-inch strips.
  2. Slice broccoli stalks into thin rounds, about 1/8-inch thick.
  3. Break broccoli head into small flowerets.
  4. Cut carrots in half crosswise; then cut into thin strips, about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Cut onion in thin strips, about 1/4-inch thick.
  6. Heat oil and garlic in wok or skillet.
  7. Add pork and broccoli stems; cook, stirring constantly, over high heat until pork is no longer pink.
  8. Add carrots, onion and flowerets. Reduce heat, cook, covered, 5 minutes, until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
  9. Combine remaining ingredients and pour into skillet.
  10. Simmer for 2 minutes until sauce is thick.
  11. Serve over rice, if desired.
  12. Makes 4 servings.
