Chicken And Seasoned Flour
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. garlic seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 1/2 tsp. celery salt
- 1 tsp. dried leaf oregano
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 2 whole frying chickens
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 3/4 c. beer
- Prepare seasoned flour.
- Skin chicken and cut into serving size pieces.
- Dredge well in seasoned flour.
- In heavy skillet, over medium-high heat, melt margarine or butter.
- Add chicken pieces and brown in batches if necessary on all sides.
- When brown, transfer to roasting pan with tight fitting cover.
- Pour beer over chicken.
- Cover.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until chicken is very tender.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
