Christmas Cake(British Style)

  1. Preheat oven to 250u0b0 to 275u0b0.
  2. Cream the butter, sugar and spices.
  3. Beat in egg yolks.
  4. Fold in half of stiffly beaten egg whites, then half of sifted flour and salt, then remainder of egg whites and remainder of the flour.
  5. Add prepared chopped fruit. Bake for 3 1/2 to 4 hours in papered 8-inch square pan.
