Angel Biscuits

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water; let stand 5 minutes.
  2. Stir buttermilk into yeast mixture and set aside.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a large bowl; cut in margarine with a pastry blender evenly.
  4. Add buttermilk mixture, stirring with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened.
  5. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.
  6. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-1/2-inch biscuit cutter.
  7. Place on a baking sheet that has been coated with cooking spray.
  8. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 10 to 15 minutes.
  9. Bake at 400u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.
  10. Makes 1 dozen.
