Chocolate Mousse Cake

  1. In double boiler, melt chocolate over hot water (not boiling). Let cool.
  2. In bowl, mix flour, sugar, soda and salt.
  3. Add shortening and sour cream; beat 2 minutes.
  4. Add egg, vanilla, melted chocolate and hot water.
  5. Beat for 2 minutes.
  6. Pour in 2 (8-inch) pans.
  7. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
  8. Cool and refrigerate.
