Swedish Meatball Stroganoff
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 3/4 lb. lean ground pork
- 1/2 c. finely minced onion
- 1 c. fine cracker/bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. milk
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp. basil leaves or dash of thyme
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 1 (13 oz.) can condensed beef broth
- 1 can Campbell's golden mushroom soup
- Combine meat, crumbs, eggs, milk, onion and spices.
- Form into balls no more than 1-inch.
- Brown well.
- Place in Dutch oven.
- Add beef broth and simmer 30 minutes.
