Chili
- 2 lb. very lean ground meat
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 to 3/4 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper
- 2 to 3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel tomatoes
- 4 Tbsp. flour, dissolved in 2 c. water
- 2 (15 oz.) cans Ranch Style chili beans
- In Dutch oven, brown ground meat.
- Add chopped onion, garlic and green pepper; cook with meat until tender.
- Add seasonings, tomato sauce and Ro-Tel tomatoes.
- Cook mixture over medium heat about 15 minutes; stir as needed.
- Add flour and water mixture. Stir often to prevent sticking or burning.
- Cook 15 or 20 minutes. Add a little water, if needed.
- Add beans; mix and heat thoroughly.
