Perfect Pot Roast

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients.
  2. Rub onto the pot roast.
  3. In a skillet, brown roast in oil.
  4. Place in a roasting pan.
  5. Add water, onion, green pepper and seasoning.
  6. Cover and bake at 325u0b0 for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until done. Remove and keep warm.
  7. Discard bay leaves.
  8. Make thickening of flour and water.
  9. Mix well and add to pan juice.
  10. Cook and stir until thick.
  11. Serve gravy with roast. Serves 8 to 10.
