Jam Cake (3 Layers)

  1. Sift spices with flour; cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, beating well.
  3. Add pineapple; continue beating.
  4. Mix soda with buttermilk; add alternately with flour and first mixture.
  5. Add jam and preserves.
  6. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 or 35 minutes or until done. Makes 3 large layers; if you prefer, you can make half the recipe. Use any good caramel icing or using following:

eggs, sugar, buttermilk, flour, blackberry jam, pineapple, strawberry preserves, nuts, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, soda, margarine
