Bran Muffins

  1. In a very
  2. large
  3. bowltombine
  4. bran
  5. and cereal.
  6. Add boiling water; stir
  7. to moisten and let stand 10 minutes.
  8. Add buttermilk.
  9. Cream shortening
  10. and sugar.
  11. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  12. Addto
  13. bran
  14. mixture; stir until well blended.
  15. Mix together flour, soda
  16. and salt.
  17. Add raisins to flour mixture. Stir into bran mixture.
  18. Cover tightly with foil.
  19. Refrigerate 24 hours.
  20. Fill
  21. muffin tins lined with baking cups, 3/4 full. Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
