Kielbasa With Kraut

  1. In Dutch oven, cook onions and bacon until tender but not browned.
  2. Take off fat.
  3. Stir in beer.
  4. Combine water with cornstarch, brown mustard, molasses, caraway seed, allspice and pepper.
  5. Stir into bacon mixture; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
  6. Add rutabaga; cover and cook 15 minutes.
  7. Stir in kielbasa, apples and sauerkraut.
  8. Cook covered 15 to 20 minutes or until apples are tender.
