Microwave Pizza Casserole
- 2 c. egg noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar pizza sauce
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/3 c. sliced pepperoni
- 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions.
- Drain and set aside.
- Combine ground beef, green pepper and onion in a 12 x 8 x 2-inch casserole, cover tightly with heavy-duty plastic wrap. Fold back a corner of wrap to allow steam to escape.
- Microwave at High 5 minutes or until done, stirring at 2 minute intervals; drain.
- Add noodles, pizza sauce and next 4 ingredients, mixing well.
- Cover and microwave at High 17 to 19 minutes, stirring at 6 minute intervals.
- Sprinkle with cheese; cover and let stand 5 minutes.
- Yields 6 servings.
