Peach Praline Shortcake

  1. Measure flour, baking powder, salt and soda into bowl.
  2. Cut in 1/2 cup brown sugar and the shortening thoroughly until mixture looks like meal.
  3. Stir in pecans.
  4. Combine egg and milk; stir into flour mixture just until blended.
  5. Pat into greased round 8-inch layer pan.
  6. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
  7. Split shortcake while warm. Fill and top with peaches.
  8. Blend sour cream and a 1/2 cup brown sugar.
  9. Serve with shortcake.
