Bean Soup

  1. Place beans and ham in a pot.
  2. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
  3. When water has come to a boil, turn heat down to a simmer, cover pot.
  4. You will cook the beans and ham about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
  5. About 1 hour before soup is finished put celery, carrots and onion in the pot.
  6. About 30 minutes before the soup is finished, put the potatoes in the pot.
  7. Add horseradish to soup by taste.
