Chocolate-Chunk Blondies

  1. Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
  2. Butter a 9-inch square baking pan.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the 10 tablespoons butter over low heat and stir in sugar until smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and cool completely. Chop the chocolate.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs, one at a time, into the melted butter mixture.
  6. Beat in vanilla.
  7. Stir in flour mixture, then the chocolate chunks. Spread batter in prepared pan.
  8. Bake until edges come away from sides of pan, for 50 to 55 minutes.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
