Reuben Loaf

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. In a large bowl, combine meat, bread crumbs, egg, onion and seasonings.
  3. Work mixture with hands until blended.
  4. On a sheet of waxed paper, shape mixture into a 6 x 14-inch rectangle.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped sauerkraut and grated cheese, leaving a 1-inch border around all edges.
  6. Starting with narrow end, roll mixture jelly roll fashion.
  7. Seal edges.
  8. Place in a shallow baking dish and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Serves 6.
