Old Fashioned Apple Slices

  1. Sift flour, 1 tablespoon sugar and salt together; blend with Crisco.
  2. Add enough milk to egg yolk to make 2/3 cup liquid and add to first mixture.
  3. Blend and refrigerate an hour or overnight. Roll 1/2 dough.
  4. Use plenty of flour and place in a 10 x 12-inch pan.
  5. Put corn flakes on crust.
  6. Put the sliced apples, then 1 cup sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Top with rest of dough.
  8. Bake at 400u0b0 for 40 minutes, until brown.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice; pour on pie while hot.
  10. Serve hot or cold.
