Carolyn'S Best Cinnamon Rolls
- 2 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 2 pkg. yeast (quick rise is best)
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 1/4 c. flour
- soft margarine
- sugar
- cinnamon
- Dissolve yeast in water for about 3 minutes.
- Add cake mix, 1 cup flour, eggs, oil and salt.
- Beat with beater until bubbles appear.
- Slowly add 5 1/4 cups flour.
- Stir with spoon, making a soft dough.
- Knead on board for about 5 minutes.
- Let rise until double.
- Roll out to about 1/4-inch thick.
- Spread with margarine and add sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll up as jelly roll and stretch; cut.
- Place each cinnamon roll on greased pan.
- Allow to rise until double.
- Bake in 350u0b0 oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Ice with powdered sugar icing while hot.
