Aunt Margie'S Macaroni Loaf
- 1 c. macaroni (raw)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1 c. milk
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 c. grated cheese
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. pimento, chopped
- Cook macaroni with teaspoon salt.
- Drain.
- Set aside.
- Mix teaspoon pepper with bread crumbs.
- Set aside.
- Blend egg yolks with milk.
- Set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, combine macaroni with milk and egg mixture.
- Add bread crumbs.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Beat egg whites to soft peaks and fold into macaroni mixture.
- Pour into well buttered mold.
- Cover with wax paper and anchor to seal.
- Set mold in pan of water and steam in 300u0b0 oven for 1 hour.
