Best Baked Beans

  1. I never make my beans the same twice!
  2. Experiment!
  3. I always use the first 3 ingredients listed, but I add any combination of the ingredients that follow.
  4. Whatever I have in my cupboard I use. You definitely want to use some ham and/or bacon, if you are not cooking for any vegetarians, to flavor this wonderfully.
  5. Bake slowly in the oven at 200u0b0 for at least 4 hours.
  6. You may need to add more "liquid" ingredients to moisten if you like your beans wet.
  7. These can be done in the slow cooker or crock-pot also, but the flavor is never quite as good that way.
