Chicken Fricassee With Dumplings

  1. Wash chicken pieces and pat dry.
  2. Mix baking mix, salt, paprika and pepper in paper or plastic bag.
  3. Shake 2 or 3 pieces of chicken at a time to coat thoroughly.
  4. Melt shortening and butter in large skillet; brown chicken on all sides.
  5. Remove chicken.
  6. Drain fat from skillet; stir in soup and milk and add chicken.
  7. Cover and simmer about 1 hour or until thickest pieces are tender.
