Soy Chicken
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- flour
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. sugar
- salt
- m.s.g. (optional)
- 3 thin slices ginger root
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- oil for frying
- Cut up chicken in bite size pieces.
- Shake in a bag of flour. Fry in deep fat fryer.
- While chicken is frying, mix together soy and sugar.
- Add a pinch of salt and monosodium glutamate.
- Add slices of ginger root and sesame oil for added flavor.
- Cook the sauce over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Set it on warm heat.
- As you fry the chicken, immediately set it in the sauce, making sure it is well coated.
- Let it drain on a cookie rack with a cookie sheet underneath to catch the drippings.
- Keep it in the oven until you are ready to eat it.
