Favorite Vegetable Soup

  1. In a 3-quart pan, combine diced onion, instant chicken broth and garlic cloves; cook on medium until onion is translucent, stirring.
  2. Add green beans, carrots, sliced celery, chopped tomatoes, chopped fresh parsley, basil leaves and pepper; stir in well.
  3. Cover; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
  4. Add water; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to medium. Cover; cook until vegetables are soft, approximately 20 minutes. Makes 7 to 8 servings.
