Meatballs Sweet And Sour
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 3/4 c. oil
- 9 slices pineapple
- 1 1/2 c. chicken bouillon
- 3 diced green peppers
- 1 small can bamboo shoots
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
- 3/4 c. pineapple juice
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 3/4 c. vinegar
- Combine eggs, flour, salt and pepper.
- Dip walnut-sized meatballs in and brown in skillet with hot oil.
- Remove meatballs. Keep warm.
- Pour all but 1 tablespoon of fat.
- Add pineapple (diced).
- Cover and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens.
- Add meatballs.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
