Mama'S Forgotten Chicken

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0. Place rice in bottom of shallow, greased baking pan. Combine cream soups and water. Pour half of the mixture over rice; let stand a few minutes. Place chicken pieces on top of rice and soup; salt and pepper. Rub chicken pieces with butter. Pour remaining cream soup mixture over chicken and top with dry onion soup mix. Add sliced onion over this, if desired. Cover with foil and forget about it for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Serves 6.
