Beef Jerky
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Lawry's Seasoned Salt
- 1 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 5 lbs beef (Trimmed of fat and sliced in 1/8 inch thick strips)
- 2 1/2 teaspoons liquid smoke
- 1 1/2 cups soy sauce
- 1 1/2 cups Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons Frank's red hot sauce (or and hot sauce)
- Mix first 6 ingredients in a shaker.
- Layer beef in a large bowl with each layer 90 degrees from the previous and sprinkle with seasoning.
- Combine last 4 ingredients and pour over seasoned beef mixture.
- Cove and refrigerate overnight to 4 days.
- Remove from marinade and place in dehydrator and sprinkle with more of the seasoning mix. Run till dehydrated chewy and delectable.
- If you don't have a dehydrator or smoker place on wire racks and put in your oven at 150u0b0F till done.
