Sweet And Sour Meatballs
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1/4 c. cracker crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. pineapple syrup
- 1/2 c. drained pineapple
- 1 1/2 c. green pepper (1-inch pieces)
- Mix together hamburger, cracker crumbs, onion, salt and pepper.
- Form small meatballs.
- Brown in oil.
- Combine sugar and cornstarch; set aside.
- Remove meatballs from pan; drain off fat. Put soy sauce, vinegar, water and pineapple in pan.
- Add sugar and cornstarch; stir until thickened.
- Add green peppers and pineapple.
- Return meatballs to pan.
- Simmer 15 minutes.
