Mrs. Field'S Cookies
- 2 c. butter (1 lb.)
- 2 c. white sugar
- 2 c. brown sugar (light or dark)
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. flour
- 5 c. oatmeal (put small amount into blender until it turns to powder; measure the oatmeal before blending)
- 1 tsp. salt (optional)
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 24 oz. bag chocolate chips
- 1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
- 3 c. chopped nuts (your choice)
- Cream butter, white sugar and brown sugar together.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix together flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda; add to creamed mixture.
- Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and chopped nuts.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Make golf ball size cookies and place 2 inches apart; bake at 375u0b0 for 6 to 7 minutes, depending on your oven.
