Cold Oven Pound Cake
- 1/2 c. butter-flavored Crisco
- 1 stick butter
- 1 stick margarine
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk, less 1 Tbsp.
- 1 Tbsp. coconut flavoring
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
- Cream well butter, Crisco and margarine.
- Add sugar, cream thoroughly.
- Add eggs (one at a time), beat 1 minute after each egg. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
- Add flavoring (can be added to milk).
- Pour mixture into greased and floured tube pan. Put in cold oven.
- Bake a little more than an hour at 300u0b0 to 325u0b0.
- Wrap cake in Saran Wrap while still warm.
- Happy eating.
