Spicy Fried Tofu

  1. First, press tofu by cutting to 1/2-inch slices and firmly patting out excess water with an absorbent towel.
  2. Cut into small cubes.
  3. Spray Pam on nonstick skillet or wok.
  4. Add tofu; saute on high heat for 5 minutes, turning with spatula.
  5. Reduce heat to medium.
  6. Add turmeric; stir until tofu is yellow all over.
  7. Add the other seasonings, stirring well between each addition. Increase heat.
  8. Add soy sauce, stirring constantly.
  9. Finally, add nutritional yeast or Parmesan cheese; mix well, sauteing until golden brown or until cheese melts.
  10. Good hot or cold.
  11. Serves 4 to 8.
