The World'S Best Cookie

  1. Cream butter.
  2. Gradually add sugars, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer.
  3. Add egg; beat well.
  4. Add oil and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
  6. Stir in oats and remaining ingredients.
  7. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
  8. Place on ungreased cookie sheets; flatten each ball with tines of a fork.
  9. Bake at 325u0b0 for 15 minutes.
  10. Cool slightly.
  11. Remove from cookie sheets; cool.
  12. Yields 10 dozen.
