Gumbo

  1. Saute okra,
  2. onion, garlic and green peppers in oil and butter.
  3. Sprinkle with flour and continue cooking until brown; keep
  4. turning.
  5. Add tomatoes, broth, water, bay leaves, thyme, Tabasco,
  6. Worcestershire
  7. and
  8. salt.
  9. Cover
  10. and simmer for 45 minutes.
  11. Add shrimp.
  12. Cook 5 minutes.
  13. Serve with rice.
