Bean Taco
- 2 cans refried beans
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. m.s.g.
- 2 Tbsp. bacon grease
- 1/8 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- chopped onion
- chopped tomato
- chopped lettuce
- taco shells
- Heat bacon grease in heavy skillet; add onions, brown and then add the beans and mix well.
- Cook over low heat for a few minutes. Add all other ingredients, except Cheddar cheese; mix thoroughly and simmer.
- Gradually add Cheddar cheese.
- Cook until cheese is melted and blended well with the beans.
- Correct seasoning as needed.
- Serve in crisp taco shells as with other tacos, but do not use taco sauce.
