Parmesan Bread With Red Peppers And Mushrooms

  1. Saute vegetables in olive oil until crisp and tender.
  2. Cool. In a large bowl, stir yeast and sugar in warm water.
  3. Let stand 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in egg.
  5. Mix in 3 cups flour, 1/4 cup cheese, salt, cayenne pepper and black pepper.
  6. Mix in cooled vegetables and enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
  7. Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
