Dirt Pudding(Or Dirt Cake)
- 16 oz. chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1/2 c. soft margarine
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 12 oz. whipped topping
- 3 c. milk
- 2 (4 oz.) boxes chocolate fudge instant pudding mix
- 1 (8-inch) or 2 (6-inch) flowerpots
- plastic or silk flowers and leaves
- garden trowel (for serving)
- 3 large gummy or plastic worms
- Crush cookies until they resemble potting soil; set aside. Cream margarine, cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth and fluffy; set aside.
- Combine pudding mix and milk until well blended, then fold in whipped topping.
- Gently fold cream cheese and pudding mixture together.
- To put cake together in pots, layer 1/3 cookie crumbs, followed by pudding mixture, then 1/3 of crumbs, then rest of pudding, topping with crumbs.
- Refrigerate 10 to 12 hours.
- One-half hour before serving, remove from fridge and decorate with flowers, etc.
- Serve with trowel.
- Serves 10 to 12.
