Deep Dish Pizza
- 3 c. Bisquick mix
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 (4 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Preheat oven to 425u0b0.
- Lightly grease pizza pan or cookie sheet.
- Mix baking mix and water until soft dough forms.
- Gently smooth into ball on floured surface.
- Knead 20 times.
- Pat dough on bottom and up sides with floured hands.
- Brown sausage, onion, salt and garlic; drain.
- Mix tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; spread evenly over dough.
- Spoon sausage mixture over sauce.
- Top with mushrooms, green pepper and cheese.
- Bake until crust is golden brown, about 20 minutes.
