Green Bean Casserole

  1. Cook beans until done, reducing time slightly; drain well, reserving 2 cups water.
  2. Set green beans aside.
  3. Melt butter; blend in flour.
  4. Add creamer; gradually add reserved hot water and stir to blend.
  5. Cook over medium heat (stir so as not to stick), until mixture bubbles and thickens.
  6. Stir in seasonings and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese.
  7. Add cooked beans and water chestnuts, mixing well.
  8. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  9. Sprinkle remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
  10. Bake at 325u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  11. Garnish with onion rings or chow mein noodles.
