Broccoli-Onion Casserole

  1. Cook
  2. broccoli until tender.
  3. In another saucepan, cook the onions in boiling, salted water until tender;
  4. drain each. In saucepan, melt 1/8 cup of margarine.
  5. Blend in flour, salt and dash
  6. of
  7. pepper
  8. if
  9. desired.
  10. Add milk.
  11. Cook, stirring constantly,
  12. until
  13. thick
  14. and bubbly.
  15. Reduce heat; add cream cheese
  16. and stir until smooth.
  17. Mix the sauce into the vegetables. Turn
  18. into
  19. a
  20. greased
  21. casserole and top with shredded cheese. Melt
  22. 1/8
  23. cup
  24. of
  25. margarine
  26. and mix with the bread crumbs. Sprinkle on top of the casserole.
  27. Bake at 350u0b0 until heated through.
