Mondel Bread
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. sliced almond
- 3 Tbsp. orange juice
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. cinnamon sugar
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Place tin foil on 2 cookie sheets. Beat eggs well until thick.
- Add sugar, oil, almond and vanilla extract and orange juice.
- Beat well; add flour and baking powder to egg mixture one cup at a time, mixing well.
- Add nuts and chocolate chips.
- Divide dough by spooning onto cookie sheets 3-inches wide by 1-inch thick.
- Bake 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove and cut into pieces.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Return to oven and bake 8 minutes until brown.
- Turn over and repeat.
- Cool and put in tight containers.
