Chinese Pepper Steak

  1. Heat oil in a medium skillet.
  2. Cook and stir green pepper in oil until crisp-tender.
  3. Remove and keep warm.
  4. Add steak strips to skillet.
  5. Cook and stir until brown.
  6. Add browned steak strips to green pepper.
  7. Keep warm.
  8. Mix water and cornstarch together; set aside.
  9. Stir broth, soy sauce, sherry, garlic and ginger into drippings in skillet.
  10. Add cornstarch mixture.
  11. Cook and stir until mixture is thick and bubbly.
  12. Stir in green pepper and steak.
  13. Serve over rice, if preferred.
