Fudgy Bonbons
- 1 pkg. or 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 can Eagle Brand milk
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 60 Hershey's Kisses or white and chocolate striped candy kisses
- 2 oz. white baking bar or vanilla flavored candy coating
- 1 Tbsp. shortening or oil
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Combine chips and margarine.
- Cook and stir over low heat until melted.
- Add milk and mix well.
- Mix flour, nuts, chocolate mixture and vanilla; mix well.
- Shape 1 tablespoon of dough around each Kiss, covering completely.
- Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 6 to 8 minutes. Cookies will be soft and appear shiny, but will become firm as cool.
- Do not overbake.
- Remove and cool.
